SNY CT ICE
Sports Network Skates Into New Arenas.
Sportsnet New York (SNY) is a regional sports network which offers coverage of the New York Mets, New York Jets, UCONN Women’s Basketball, and all things New York sports. With extensive experience in the world of sports broadcasting, SNY was entering new territory by hosting its first major live event, the Connecticut Ice Collegiate Hockey Tournament. LIFT was brought on board to develop a comprehensive ticket sales strategy and media plan that would fill the arena for the 2-day tournament with fans cheering on UCONN, Yale, Quinnipiac, and Sacred Heart.
Our Role.
Being brought on later in the Connecticut Ice ticket sales period, LIFT was quick to evaluate the current sales strategy and provide recommendations to Sportsnet New York that made almost immediate improvements to sales. To capitalize on the new and improved ticket sales strategy, LIFT developed an integrated media campaign, utilizing digital, radio, and out-of-home mediums to reach current and potential fans in the NYC-metro area. LIFT’s creative team was brought on to develop engaging video assets in support of the campaign and provided production support on content that was used across organic and paid media, as well as in-game collateral. The CT Ice champions weren’t the only ones bringing home the gold. LIFT teamed up with two Olympic gold medalists from the U.S. Women’s Hockey team to develop an influencer campaign ahead of the tournament and an on-site meet-and-greet experience at the event. Aside from Connecticut Ice, LIFT and SNY have partnered on other efforts, such as providing creative and digital media services ahead of the New York Mets’ Opening Day.
